Israel’s intelligence minister, Gila Gamliel, is hosting Prince Reza Pahlavi in Jerusalem
Minister Gila Gamliel (R) and Prince Reza Pahlavi, activist, advocate, and oldest son of the last Shah, attend a ceremony marking Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, for the six million Jews killed during World War II, at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial in Jerusalem. In an interview granted to “Agenzia Nova” on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, the prince stated that “nobody wants war.” As underlined by the heir to the Peacock Throne, we have “a biblical relationship,” which finds expression in the Jewish Saturday prayer, in which “Cyrus the Great,” emperor of Persia from 550 to 530 BC, is quoted and to whom the Jews owe the liberation from “Babylonian captivity.” Pahlavi had therefore observed that a new Iran would eliminate “all threats” of the Republic, “including the nuclear one.” In this perspective, “the quickest solution” is the fall of the “regime.”
