Beyond the arts, Tehrani has actively participated in sports. In a notable appointment in September 2013, she was named Vice President of the Women’s Tai Chi Chuan Committee. Despite mixed reactions to her role, officials from the Wushu Federation noted her commitment to coaching and promoting the sport among women in Iran.

Hedieh Tehrani’s contributions to the arts have been met with numerous accolades. In June 2015, she received an honorary First Degree of Artistic Medal, akin to a doctorate in recognition of her creative achievements, during a ceremony attended by Ali Jannati, the then Minister of Culture and Guidance.

Personal Life: Marriage and Divorce

Tehrani’s personal life has also garnered media attention. In 2007, she married Hooman Bahmanesh, a cinematographer. However, their union was short-lived, ending in divorce less than a year later. Following their separation, Bahmanesh remarried, while Tehrani has remained single.

Advocacy and Social Activism

Hedieh Tehrani is known for her commitment to social causes, particularly environmentalism and animal rights. In April 2016, she was briefly detained during a protest advocating for animal rights. Additionally, her activism against the construction of the Miankaleh Petrochemical Plant in April 2012 highlighted her dedication to environmental sustainability and activism.
