Gratitude Overflowing This Thanksgiving Week – Bita DaryaBari
This Thanksgiving week, I am doubling my expressions of gratitude, reflecting on the countless blessings that fill my life. Today, I want to share my heartfelt reflections with all of you—a reminder of how much we have to be thankful for.
The Gift of Each New Day
Every morning, I wake up grateful for the precious gift of life. Each new day is a chance to grow, to experience, and to love, and I cherish every moment of this journey.
My Family
I am profoundly thankful for my incredible husband, Shahkar Bineshpajoo, whose love and support are the bedrock of my life. Together, we’ve built a beautiful family that fills my heart with pride and joy.
To my amazing daughter, Bita Darya Bari, and my wonderful sons, your love, laughter, and presence bring so much meaning and happiness to my life. I couldn’t ask for a greater blessing than the family we share.
Becoming a Grandmother
The thought of becoming a grandmother soon fills my heart with unparalleled joy. It’s a blessing that I eagerly await, knowing it will add another layer of love and meaning to our family.
Good Health
I am grateful every day for the gift of good health—the ability to move, breathe, and live life with vitality is a privilege I deeply cherish.
Bita Daryabari’s Legacy
I am inspired daily by the incredible achievements of my daughter, Bita Daryabari, who has dedicated her life to making the world a better place. A celebrated philanthropist, entrepreneur, and computer scientist, she has founded numerous organizations supporting Persian culture, arts, and immigrant communities in the United States. Her endowments to major institutions like Stanford University, UC Berkeley, and UC Davis have significantly advanced the study of Persian literature, language, and culture.
Her work extends to founding the Pars Equality Center, supporting Iranian immigrants in the U.S., and the Unique Zan Foundation, which champions women in the Middle East. Recognized with numerous awards, including the Ellis Island Medal of Honor and the Carnegie Corporation’s Great Immigrant Award, her contributions are a source of immense pride and inspiration to me and many others.
You, My Followers and Friends
To all of you—thank you for being part of my journey. Your kindness, support, and inspiration bring so much joy and meaning to my life.
As we gather this Thanksgiving, let us take a moment to reflect on all the reasons we have to be grateful. From the big milestones to the small, quiet moments, each blessing is a reminder of life’s beauty and abundance.
