Golshifteh Farahani’s “Chandshanbeh ba Sina” Interview: A Memorable Appearance

Sina Valiollah: The Host Extraordinaire

Sina Valiollah, the charismatic host of “Chandshanbeh ba Sina,” has a fascinating journey of his own. Born to parents deeply immersed in the world of art, with his mother specializing in drama and his father excelling in printing, publishing, painting, and calligraphy, Sina had the perfect environment to nurture his artistic inclinations.

Sina’s interest in the arts, particularly in painting and drawing, was evident from a young age. His talents were noticed by his parents and teachers, leading him to contribute to his school’s newsletter at a young age. As he grew older, his fascination with cinema and television grew, further encouraged by his mother’s involvement with the Ministry of Culture and Art.

At the age of 15, a family friend and renowned Iranian director, Ahmad Behbahani, recognized Sina’s unique voice and offered him a voice-over role in one of his series. This experience ignited Sina’s determination to pursue a career in media, and he realized that he needed to focus on higher education to achieve his goals.

Sina’s journey continued with studies in graphic design at the Islamic Azad University of Tehran, while he also secured a part-time position at the Graphic Design Department of IRIB. However, his distinctive voice led to an unexpected turn in his career, as he was offered a position as a presenter at the IRIB radio station. With his passion and talent, Sina rapidly rose through the ranks, eventually hosting daily morning and afternoon programs for nine years, including popular shows like “Sobh o Varzesh” and “Shabaneh.”

In his pursuit of excellence, Sina Valiollah never abandoned his university studies, graduating from Azad University of Arts with a degree in Graphic Design. His commitment to both education and broadcasting culminated in a scholarship from IRIB, enabling him to complete a master’s degree in Communication and Journalism at the Communication University of Tehran.

Sina’s dedication and talent were recognized with three nominations for the best presenter at the “Television and Radio Festival Awards,” ultimately winning the award in 2004. Additionally, he delved into various facets of media, including advertisement, scriptwriting, directing, and narration. Notably, he collaborated on the “Harry Potter Audiobook” project alongside Rambod Javan, produced by the Beethoven Centre.
