Farhad Ayesh’s personal life is intricately connected to his artistic journey. He met Maedeh Tahmasbi, a talented actress, theater director, and translator, while studying and performing in Germany. What began as a serendipitous encounter blossomed into a loving relationship, culminating in their marriage in 1997.

Maedeh, born in 1953 in Babol, Iran, shares Ayesh’s passion for the performing arts. With a master’s degree in journalism focusing on theater and political science, she complements Ayesh’s artistic endeavors. Reflecting on their relationship, Ayesh fondly recalls the whimsical moment he proposed to Maedeh: “I called her at five in the morning German time, and she just laughed out of surprise.” While they have opted not to have children, Ayesh appreciates the freedom this decision affords them, allowing them to savor the joys of married life without parental constraints.
