News came Monday that Trump Jr. and his sister, Ivanka Trump, had been subpoenaed as part of a civil investigation by the New York State attorney general’s office into the business practices at the Trump Organization. Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and their younger brother, Eric Trump, are vice presidents in the family company. Late Monday, Trump Jr., his sister and father moved to quash the subpoenas, while accusing James’ office of trying to use her office’s civil investigation to aid a criminal investigation being conducted by the Manhattan district attorney’s office, CNN reported. Both investigations are looking into whether the Trump Organization manipulated financial statements and the value of its properties when seeking tax benefits or financing for its development projects.
