First Encounters with Acting

At the age of 15, Vosoughi found his calling in acting after watching the film Volgerd, starring Naser Malek Mati’i. This sparked a passion that would lead him to the world of cinema. By 1955, he had made his debut in the film Toofan in Our City, albeit in minor roles that did not garner much attention.

Rise to Fame

The turning point in his career arrived in 1969 with the film Qaiser, directed by the renowned Masoud Kimiai. It was in this role that Vosoughi truly found his footing as an actor, and his performance captivated audiences nationwide, establishing him as a leading figure in Iranian cinema.

Subsequent films, including Dash Akol, Gozenha, and Reza Motouri, further solidified his status, eventually earning him multiple nominations and accolades throughout his career. His ability to portray complex characters resonated with audiences, and he quickly became a household name, often regarded as one of the greatest actors in the history of Iranian film.
