“He had the biggest smile on his face the whole time,” Alpert tells Page Six Style. “He knew that he really wanted to do something with hearts and have the most dazzling, biggest, flawless heart-shaped ring for her,” she continues — adding that Mod and Lavigne separately purchased heart-shaped pavé rings from her before they met, and have worn them every day since.“They also have a connection to France and royalty and he wanted it to look like a crown too,” Alpert says, “so there’s a lot of beautiful detail around the heart shape itself.”
