Early Life

Born in the Khorasan Square neighborhood of Tehran, Alireza Zakani’s family’s roots are diverse, with connections to Tabriz, East Azerbaijan Province, and Kashan. His father, Hossein Zakani, was a notable figure in Tehran and Shahr-e Rey, known for organizing the annual anniversary of Gholamreza Takhti for 28 years.

Islamic Consultative Assembly

Since 2020, Zakani has represented the people of Qom city in the eleventh period of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament). He notably headed the special committee responsible for investigating the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
