Ali Daei Becomes Sunglasses Model: From Football Legend to Fashion Icon

Introduction

Ali Daei, a legendary figure in the world of football, is not only known for his extraordinary achievements on the field but also for his diverse business ventures. Born in Ardabil, Iran, Daei has successfully balanced his career as an athlete with a range of entrepreneurial activities, from clothing production and real estate to steel trading and more. His educational background in engineering and his commitment to both his family and professional life further highlight his dynamic personality. Daei’s contributions to both sports and business have made him a highly respected figure in Iran and beyond.

In addition to football, Ali Daei is also involved in numerous business ventures. In 2008, he became a member of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce. His business interests include importing and producing clothing and sports equipment, with several branches, investments in the housing sector, tower construction in northern Tehran, as well as activities in the food, insurance, and steel trading industries. Daei also owns a sunglass store. He has entrusted the management of his restaurant and jewelry store to his wife, Mona Farrokh Azari, the mother of his daughter Nora.

Ali Daei was born on April 1, 1969, in the Khairabad neighborhood of Ardabil. However, he believes his actual birthdate is in the winter of 1970. His and his three brothers’ birth certificates were all issued on April 1 so they could attend school earlier. Daei is the third of five siblings, with a sister who passed away just 20 days after her birth.

In 1987, Daei was accepted into the agricultural engineering program at the Islamic Azad University, South Tehran Branch, where he attended for two semesters. In 1988, he retook the entrance exam and was accepted into the metallurgical engineering program at Sharif University of Technology, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in February 1993.

Daei is married and has two daughters, Deniz and Nora. In June 2022, in an interview with Adel Ferdosipour, Daei stated that he had been married only once, in 2003. However, his eldest daughter, Deniz, who lives in London, responded on Instagram by posting a photo of her mother, Mahsa, challenging her father’s claim.
