Before embarking on her television career, Ehteram Boroumand worked as a teacher for exceptional children, particularly those with Down syndrome, in 1965 and 1966. Despite having only a high school diploma, her dedication and compassion had a significant impact on her students.
Television Career
Ehteram Boroumand’s television career began in 1967 when she participated in a speaking test for children’s programs. Despite having no formal training, she excelled and was selected as a presenter. Initially, she hosted a 10-minute weekly program for children and teenagers. Due to the positive reception, her airtime gradually increased. By 1973, at the age of 26, she became a permanent presenter for children’s programming on Iranian TV.
Boroumand continued her television career until April 1979. However, the Iranian Revolution of 1979 and the subsequent Iran-Iraq War led her to step away from her television work.
