7 Invisible Tricks Job Interviewers Use to Test You and Ace Your Interview
The Waiting Game
In some interviews, the interviewer may intentionally keep the candidate waiting. For example, even if the interview is scheduled for 9 a.m., the candidate arrives early only to find the interviewer is not ready. They may be asked to wait for 10 minutes, then another 10, and perhaps even an additional 15 minutes.
This delay is a test of the candidate’s emotional stability in stressful situations and their genuine desire for the job. It can be challenging to maintain composure during extended waits, but remaining patient and focused is crucial.
