Death and Legacy

Zari Khoshkam passed away on May 18, 2024, at the age of 76, due to cardiac arrest. Her funeral was held , attended by numerous artists and cinephiles. She was laid to rest in the Artists’ Plot at Behesht Zahra Cemetery, next to her husband, Ali Hatami. Her death marked the end of an era, but her influence endures through her iconic roles and her daughter Leila Hatami, who continues to shine in Iranian cinema.
