Transport Motorbike Training: Empowering Women Through Safe Riding Education

Student Leila: A Journey of Empowerment

Background

Leila, a young woman living in Tehran, decided to pursue motorcycle training to increase her independence. She wanted an affordable, efficient way to navigate the city’s traffic, which is often congested and stressful.

Leila’s decision was also driven by a desire to challenge societal stereotypes and demonstrate that women can be competent and confident riders.

Training Experience

Leila’s journey began at a reputable motorcycle training center in northern Tehran. Under the guidance of instructor Maryam Qalich, she started with theoretical lessons covering traffic laws, motorcycle mechanics, and safety gear.

Her practical lessons involved learning how to balance, accelerate, brake, and maneuver in controlled environments. Over time, she progressed to riding in traffic, mastering turns, lane changes, and emergency maneuvers.

Challenges and Triumphs

Initially, Leila faced fears about losing control, balancing, and dealing with traffic stress. She experienced moments of doubt but was encouraged by Maryam to persist. Through continuous practice and support, Leila gradually gained confidence.

Her perseverance paid off. She successfully completed her training, obtained her motorcycle license, and started riding confidently on Tehran’s streets. Her story became an inspiration for many other women considering motorcycle riding.
