Although Alidoosti was primarily recognized for his football career, his family connections and his daughter Taraneh’s successful acting career also brought attention from the Iranian film industry.

The presence of actors, filmmakers, football legends, coaches, sports officials, and journalists made the ceremony a gathering of several generations of influential Iranian personalities.

For many attendees, the farewell was not simply an opportunity to remember a former football player. It was also a chance to celebrate the personal relationships, professional achievements, and memories associated with Hamid Alidoosti.

Hamid Alidoosti’s Final Journey to Behesht-e Zahra Cemetery

Following the farewell ceremony at Shahid Shiroudi Stadium, Hamid Alidoosti’s body was transported to Behesht-e Zahra Cemetery in southern Tehran.

His burial took place in the Section for Renowned Figures, a designated area associated with notable Iranian personalities.

The procession marked the final stage of the funeral ceremony, attended by relatives, friends, former teammates, and representatives of Iran’s sports and cultural communities.

A separate memorial service was also announced for Friday, November 6, 2026, at the Jame Mosque of Shahrak-e Gharb in Tehran.
