His official office announced funeral arrangements and later provided information concerning mourning events.

The main funeral procession was associated with Qom, where the body was taken toward the shrine of Hazrat Fatima Masumeh.

The first-night memorial ceremony was also scheduled at the shrine.

These events were followed by additional memorial gatherings, including the ceremony at the Shahid Motahari Higher School in Tehran.
