From Refugee to Media Mogul

After relocating to Los Angeles in 1998, Karimian worked at Voice of Iran Radio, gradually establishing his foothold in the Persian-language media industry. His marriage to Roya Rezaei, a woman connected to the Mojahedin Organization, further intertwined his life with Iran’s political opposition.

Founding of GEM TV and Jam Network

In 2006, Saeed Karimian launched GEM TV (also known as Jam TV), a satellite television network broadcasting Persian entertainment, series, and cultural programs. The network gained millions of viewers across Iran and the Persian diaspora, challenging state-controlled media narratives.
