Reza Attaran Biography: Early Life, Education, and Family Background

Birth and Early Life

Reza Attaran was born on May 10, 1968, in Mashhad, Iran. His parents hailed from the Kakhak district of Gonabad, Khorasan Razavi province. Growing up as the third child in a family of five children, Attaran experienced early hardships, including the loss of his mother in a devastating earthquake in Kakhak. His father, Zabihollah Attaran, also passed away in January 2004, leaving Reza and his siblings to navigate life without parental guidance.

Education and Shift to Arts

Reza Attaran completed his high school education in economics in Mashhad. Driven by a passion for the arts, he moved to Tehran to pursue higher education. Initially accepted into the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran, he studied industrial design but soon realized that his true calling was in cinema and acting. He has openly stated that although he began studying industrial design, his heart was always in the performing arts.
