Born on May 26, 1951, in Abshar Alley, Rey Street, Tehran, Mohammad Kasebi’s journey into the world of arts began at a young age. Growing up in a vibrant Tehran neighborhood, he was exposed early to the rich cultural tapestry of Iran, which fueled his passion for acting and storytelling.

Childhood and Initial Interest in Theater

From the age of 13, Mohammad Kasebi showed remarkable talent in theatrical arts. He started performing with local theater groups at the South Youth Palace in Railway Square, demonstrating a natural flair for acting. His early involvement in amateur theater laid the groundwork for his future career in Iranian drama and cinema.

Educational Path: From Medicine to Theater

Initially accepted into the Faculty of Medicine, Kasebi’s true calling was in the performing arts. His fascination with theater prompted him to pursue studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts, specializing in acting and directing. During his college years at the Drama College, he participated in numerous productions, showcasing his versatility and dedication to the craft.

Military Service and Artistic Development

Kasebi’s military service interrupted his academic pursuits, but it also provided opportunities for further development. After returning from the army in 1974, he re-entered the Drama College, solidifying his commitment to Iranian film and theater.
