Personal Life

Maryam Rajavi divorced Mehdi Abrishamchi, a fellow opposition figure, before marrying Massoud Rajavi. Their union symbolized a powerful alliance in Iran’s resistance movement. Her wedding took place on June 19, 1985, at the French office of the NCRI.

She is a mother to her daughter, Ashraf, who remains a symbol of the next generation of Iranian activists. Despite her leadership responsibilities, she remains committed to her family and her vision for Iran.
