Hassan Moradi, a pro-government cleric and supporter of Qalibaf’s election campaign, announced that Seddiqi died “in prostration” during prayer at the Azgol Mosque. Moradi stated that Seddiqi was suffering from heart and liver disease and had expressed concerns about his health prior to his death.
