EP-IGC (Falcon 900EX):
The EP-IGC, originally manufactured with serial number 134, has a history of ownership changes. Initially registered as VP-CEZ and later as VP-CFR, it was eventually acquired by an Irish private company in March 2013 with registration EI-ZMA. In 2017, the government of Iran purchased the aircraft to serve as part of the ceremonial fleet for the country’s leadership.
Initially registered as EP-DAF, the EP-IGC had its registration changed to EP-IGC due to sanctions imposed on Dena Company by the United States. The EP-IGC also bears the military registration number 9017-5. It features amenities such as two 20-inch monitors and the Airshow system, with additional modifications made upon Iran’s request, including Sharklet wingtips.
The Falcon 900EX is a member of the Falcon family, distinguished by its three-engine configuration and extended range, designed to accommodate long-haul flights and executive transport needs.
These aircraft highlight Iran’s use of high-end Falcon jets for both governmental and private purposes, amidst broader geopolitical and economic considerations.
