Amir Hossein Ghiyasi: From Challenging Childhood to Comedian and TV Host
The Beginnings of His Artistic Career
Early Engagement with Comedy
Amir Hossein Ghiyasi’s first steps into the world of entertainment began during his university years. Around 2007, when he was just 15 years old, he started writing satire and humorous content on his personal blog. His early work often addressed social issues, political satire, and daily life in Iran.
Alongside his writing, he performed stand-up comedy with friends at small gatherings, honing his skills and gaining confidence in front of live audiences. These experiences laid the foundation for his later success.
Creating Content in the Digital Space
The rise of social media and online platforms provided Ghiyasi with new avenues to reach audiences. Recognizing the power of digital media, he started producing short comedy sketches and satirical commentary videos. His ability to blend humor with social critique quickly garnered attention among Iranian youth.
In 2018, Ghiyasi took a significant step toward professional entertainment:
- “Shantazh” Internet Program: He created “Shantazh,” a humorous news satire show for the Home Show Network. The program tackled current news and social issues with wit and critical insight. This was his first serious experience performing in front of a broad audience.
- Participation in “Khandanande Sho”: That same year, Ghiyasi competed on Iran’s popular television comedy competition “Khandanande Sho” with his university friend Abu Talib Hosseini. The show was a major platform that showcased emerging comedic talents across Iran.
