Aein Jafari, the son of Iranian actors Amir Jafari and Rima Raminfar, became one of the unexpected talking points surrounding the 2026 Venice Film Festival. Although he has not established a formal professional career as an actor, his appearance alongside his mother on the red carpet generated considerable attention online.
For years, Aein Jafari was primarily recognized by Iranian audiences through his famous parents. Amir Jafari and Rima Raminfar are both established figures in Iranian cinema, television and theater, while their son has generally maintained a much lower public profile than either parent.
That changed significantly in 2026.
His appearance in Venice alongside Rima Raminfar for the international festival presentation of Moragheb, also known internationally as Falling House, placed Aein directly in front of international entertainment photographers and Iranian social media audiences. The film, directed by Mohsen Gharaei, was officially included in the 2026 Venice program. The Venice Biennale lists Rima Raminfar among the principal cast alongside Laleh Marzban, Farhad Aslani and Elena Khakbazan.
However, it was not only the film that attracted attention.
Aein Jafari’s appearance, fashion choices, height and overall visual presence quickly became subjects of discussion. Iranian entertainment and fashion-oriented outlets described his look as distinctive and compared his appearance with European, particularly Italian, fashion models. Similar reactions had already appeared after photographs of Aein in Rome circulated online before his Venice appearance.
One of the most widely circulated moments from Venice was also one of the simplest: Aein kissed his mother on the red carpet.
The image of Aein Jafari kissing Rima Raminfar became widely shared across Iranian social media and entertainment pages, adding an emotional family moment to the highly photographed atmosphere of the Venice Film Festival.
