Young Girls and Boys of Atash Biar Enjoy Street Sports and Fire Performance in Tehran
Young Iranian girls and boys gathered in Tehran for an energetic display of street sports, freestyle cycling, acrobatics and fire performance, offering a striking glimpse of youth culture in the Iranian capital.
The gathering, associated with Atash Biar, brought together young performers and spectators in an urban recreation setting where athletic ability, balance, movement and entertainment took center stage. BMX riders performed freestyle cycling tricks while fire performers demonstrated their skills with flaming torches in front of a large crowd.
The event took place at Navid Park in Tehran, near the Javadiyeh area, on September 4. The colorful and highly physical performances provided a vivid contrast to the political tensions that have continued to shape headlines surrounding Iran and the United States.
